Magic: The Gathering cards are standard size. Whether you play Standard, Modern, Draft or Commander, Day Two sleeves protect them game after game.
What size sleeves for Magic?
A Magic card measures 63 × 88 mm. It fits standard-size sleeves of about 66 × 91 mm: Day Two sleeves measure 66 × 91.5 mm. For double protection, they work as the outer sleeve with perfect fit inners. See our size guide.
How many sleeves for a Magic deck?
| Format | Cards | Day Two boxes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard, Pioneer, Modern… | 60 cards + sideboard (15) | 1 box |
| Commander | 100 cards | 2 boxes (with spares) |
| Draft, Sealed | 40 cards minimum | 1 box |
For several decks or a Commander deck, bundles of 3 or 5 boxes lower the price per box. More in how many sleeves per deck.
At tournaments
- Every card in the deck, and in the sideboard if you have one, must be in identical sleeves.
- A judge can ask you to change worn or marked sleeves: keep spares from the same box.
- Sleeve your deck a few days before the tournament to get used to the shuffle.
The exact rules are those of the Magic Tournament Rules and your organiser. Our guide sleeves at tournaments sums up the essentials.
