Pokémon Trading Card Game cards are standard size. Day Two sleeves are cut to fit them, whether you play at league, at a Challenge or at a Regional.
What size sleeves for Pokémon?
A Pokémon card measures 63 × 88 mm. It needs standard-size sleeves of about 66 × 91 mm: Day Two sleeves measure 66 × 91.5 mm. The card slides in without forcing and doesn’t float around. For everything about formats, see our size guide.
How many sleeves for a Pokémon deck?
A Pokémon deck has 60 cards. One Day Two box of 100 sleeves covers the deck and leaves about forty spares from the same box, to replace a damaged sleeve during a tournament. If you play several decks, bundles of 3 or 5 boxes lower the price per box. The details are in how many sleeves per deck.
At Play! Pokémon tournaments
- Every card in the deck must be in identical sleeves with an opaque back.
- A damaged sleeve, or one more worn than the rest, can make a card recognisable: check your deck before every tournament.
- Keep sleeves from the same box in your bag to replace any that get damaged.
The exact rules are those of Play! Pokémon and your organiser. Our guide sleeves at tournaments sums up the essentials.
Why Day Two sleeves
A 140-micron textured back for smooth, even shuffling, extra-strong seams and a PVC-free, acid-free material. The Midnight Black back is opaque, as tournaments require.
